Nicola Perugini is Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at Brown University. He has been assistant Professor at and Director of the Human Rights Program at the Al Quds Bard College (Jerusalem, Palestine), and taught at the Department of International Relations of the American University of Rome. He is the author (with Neve Gordon) of The Human Right to Dominate (Oxford University Press, 2015). He has published articles on embedded anthropology, asylum seekers, humanitarianism, politics of the gaze, law and spatial practices, human shields and the history of violence, settler colonialism and trauma.
