Workshopping the Arab League and Media Discourse
The Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship
{{langos=='en'?('03/09/2019' | todate):('03/09/2019' | artodate)}} - issue 6.2

In this workshop, a group of Arab League staff, scientists, and journalists concerned with Arab affairs discusses key questions about the League's handling of changes in the region over the last eight years in its speech and public policies. The workshop will also address ways of interacting with the media scene in the region. On the other hand, the workshop discusses the evolution of the field of Arab media, both in the field of traditional and more widespread media, and in the new wave of independent media or at the level of local media versus regional media institutions. How have the Arab media covered the most important developments in the region in recent years of revolutions, civil wars and regional wars fought on local territory? How did this coverage form an expression or speech about a new Arab regime in the making?
